Honor of Kings IP's new open-world MMORPG "Honor of Kings: World" officially released a three-minute CG trailer in October 2021.
"Honor of Kings: World" will bring all kinds of surprises to players familiar with the IP. Monsters, terrains, and even heroes from Honor of Kings will join the game in their new forms.
Publisher Tencent Games and developer TiMi Studio Group have announced Honor of Kings: World, an open-world action RPG based on the hit MOBA mobile game Honor of Kings, planned for a worldwide release on multiple platforms.
The companies also announced a collaboration with a world-renowned science-fiction writer Cixin Liu（刘慈欣), the nine-time winner of China's Galaxy Award, who has also received the 2015 Hugo Award for his novel ‘‘The Three-Body Problem’’ as well as the 2017 Locus Award for Death's End. Cixin Liu will bring his unique perception of Chinese culture and aesthetics to Honor of Kings: World.
As a new puzzle to expand the IP ecosystem, the "Kingsense" of "Honor of Kings: World" comes from the heroes, skills, monsters and scenes in the game, as well as the "worldview plot" and other content. "Honor of Kings: World" chooses to let players appear as "protagonists" in the game, instead of looking at the world from the hero's perspective, in order to allow players to become more themselves and change the world together with the heroes in the story. At the same time, players can also explore the game's King elements more freely, using the protagonist's life and past as a guide to connect the history and heroic stories of the King's Continent.
The new PV clearly reveals a number of popular heroes such as Dongfang Yao and Xishi, and also shows the player controlling the character using the armor "indestructible magic body" skill. "Honor of Kings: World" is showing the IP accumulation of Kings' Canyon to players in the form of Kings' Continent form to players, and use the big world gameplay for the original game content to give a fresh experience.
