Annual Theme Concept
Qian Se Yun Zhong (means thousands of colors in the clouds), as the theme of the 26th season of Honor Of Kings 2022, will show the world the mysterious view of Jade City. The Chang'an Festival is over and travelers from all over the world embark on their journey home. All the way to the west, countless adventures will happen along the way. Known as the flower of the desert, Jade City shines brightly in the desolate land.
In the vast cloudless desert, there are many mysterious stories. In ancient times, the Cloudless Desert was fertile land and was known as the "Land of Gold". But after the war, the land was gradually deserted in the sand and wind, leaving only a legendary prophecy; when the young heroes arrived, the Cloudless Desert would wake up from its long dormancy of several thousand years.
In 2022, a new chapter of "Honor Of Kings" has arrived.
The core of the concept song "A Thousand Colors in the Clouds" is the mysterious and ancient historical civilization of the desert land of Yunzhong, and the narrative thread of Yunzhong Saenian that runs through the whole year with deep emotions: a story of giving everything for the hometown and for the loved ones, and fearlessly going forward. The second piece of music is "Hanhai Tulan", which is inspired by "the ideal land that no one can see", hoping to depict this "last place of hope in the vast yellow sand" with a more positive mood. The music design is based on the large orchestral framework characteristic of King's music, and is embellished with Chinese unique instruments such as wicker bamboos, flutes and solo cellos played with glissando techniques in imitation of erhu and horse head zither, complemented by pianos and harps commonly used by composers.
