TENCENT, TIMI x JFW GEMINI - Honor Of Kings x Arena Of Valor first crossover skin music(2021)
GEMINI is the first-ever crossover skin between Honor of Kings and Arena of valor, the two worldwide hit MOBA mobile games from Tencent Games. JFW collabs with Tencent Games and TiMi Studio to create the theme music for this unique skin series.
CHARACTER THEME DESIGN
There are thousands of worlds in this time and space, and the boundary spirits are the guardians of these worlds. They are born in twin form, with the ability to travel to other worlds, and assume the destiny of guardianship. In the past, they accompanied each other and were inseparable; later, they said goodbye to each other, found their own worlds and concluded guardianship contracts, and have been stationed in other worlds ever since.
CHARACTER THEME MUSIC DESIGN
The music was designed with a strong western classical harmonic quality, with a violin solo to interpret the melodic lines with a distinctly oriental feel, and then echoed with a distant female chant to increase the sense of space, and the vocal chorus in the background also added a sense of legend and fantasy to the music, creating an atmosphere of the Eastern continent. The interlude uses flute and soulful piano to express the lightness and curiosity of traveling between galaxies, to fit the story of Sun Shangxiang's awakening after a thousand years of sleep. The final climactic passage incorporates all the previous orchestration elements based on the reproduction of the theme melody, with a broader harmonic structure to express her belief in guarding the Eastern Continent and her powerful contract power.
